The VEKAMOTION 82 lift-slide door has been awarded the Plus X Award by a neutral jury in the important categories "High Quality" and "Design".
The renowned Plus X Award innovation prize confirms the high quality and outstanding design of the new sliding door from VEKA. The Plus X Award recognizes companies for the quality and innovative edge of their products. VEKAMOTION 82 was awarded the seal of approval in the important categories "High Quality" and "Design" in the 2020/2021 competition cycle.
Sliding door in a class of its own
The VEKAMOTION 82 lift-slide door, as the successor model to the VEKASLIDE, sets new standards in the stability of the PVC frames thanks to larger-dimensioned reinforcements. Like the exclusive use of class A profiles (according to European standard DIN EN 12608), this also pays off especially with large elements. Our new lift-and-slide door system impresses with a whole range of well considered and innovative details, which are precisely tailored to the needs of fabricators. For lower storage requirements and efficient production, we have paid attention to reducing complexity. The 62 mm wide frame of VEKAMOTION 82, for example, has two separate steel chambers for 60 x 40 mm steel reinforcements, as used in the SOFTLINE 76 and 82 window systems. With the new PVC floor treshold with two reinforcement chambers separated from each other, only two different kick plates are sufficient to produce a standard or a barrier-free solution with one treshold.
High thermal insulation & reliable tightness
VEKAMOTION 82 also meets the highest standards in terms of thermal insulation. With a basic depth of 82 mm, the lift-and-slide door system achieves excellent insulation values and can easily accommodate triple insulating glass up to 54 millimeters thickness and a glass spacing of 20 mm. Thanks to innovative two-component sealing parts and large-volume seals, it achieves a tightness of up to level 9A. The new development can also easily meet increased requirements for structural sealing and safety levels.
Visible sash is reduced by up to 20 percent
During the entire development process, we paid particular attention to the design, in order to make the product more attractive for architects and builders. In line with the trend towards large elements with a minimized frame component, the new sliding door can boast sash elevations that are up to 20 percent smaller than those of previous solutions. This allows significantly larger glazing and thus ensures maximum light incidence.
VEKAMOTION 82 MAX lets even more light into interior spaces. In this design variant, the frame profiles of the fixed element are once again significantly reduced. In this version, the fixed sash has an inside face height of only 28 mm, and on the outside, the innovative frame construction allows maximum covering all around.
Architect and private customer wishes consistently implemented
Whether it is maximum glass surfaces, slim frame profiles, barrier-free floor treshold or high-quality and individual color designs using SPECTRAL surfaces or aluminum cover profiles - all these product features correspond exactly to the current wishes of consumers and architects. The jury of the Plus X Awards also honored these product features and awarded the new sliding door system with the seal of approval in the "Design" category.
