VEKA Group publishes fourth edition of "Future-friendly"
Every two years, we provide comprehensive insight into our sustainability activities in our CSR booklet "Future-friendly". With the fourth edition, which looks back over the years 2023 and 2024, we are once again demonstrating that sustainability is not just a trend for us, but a strategic, structural, and cultural component of our actions.
Our sustainability work is based on a holistic perspective with three central dimensions: business, society and the environment. We are convinced that only those who take all three aspects into account can operate responsibly and in a manner that is fair to future generations in the long term.
Times of change
The last few years have been marked by geopolitical tensions, volatile markets, and the tangible effects of climate change. But it is precisely these developments that have shown us how important it is to take an even more strategic approach to our sustainability work. With our first double materiality analysis, we have taken an important step in this direction and at the same time laid the foundation for future reporting requirements.
Transformation with vision
A key topic in the new edition is the transformation of our product portfolio. We are consistently focusing on the circular economy and resource conservation: from the increased use of recycled materials and non-fossil PVC to closer integration of our core business and recycling activities. Our vision is clear: no plastic windows should end up in landfills in the future.
People make the difference
What makes us particularly proud is that this development is only possible because our employees around the world are helping to shape it. They take responsibility, contribute ideas, and drive projects forward - both large and small. This commitment is the driving force behind our sustainability work.
With our new CSR booklet we want to not only inform, but also inspire. We show transparently where we stand, what we have learned, and where we want to go. Because those who make the right decisions today will shape the world of tomorrow.
