As an independent subsidiary of the VEKA Group, Digital Building Solutions GmbH (DBS for short) bundles all digital business areas. The goal is to advance digitalization in window construction by offering practical and innovative solutions. The many years of experience in window construction offer the best conditions for the development of digital tools to increase process efficiency in construction.
DBS has started its operative business in time for the new year. The 25 employees are specialized in the windows & doors trade. All DBS solutions are oriented to the value chain in window construction. Currently, the "digital toolbox" consists of five solutions that can be used modularly and integratively.

In the context of acquiring new customers, window manufacturers, architects and dealers can use the visualization solution DBS WinDo Imaging, which relies on virtual and augmented reality technology. The realistic representation of window and door elements in the virtual showroom (virtual reality) or at home (augmented reality) supports the decision-making-process of customers and provides security.

Digital window planning
Once the decision for a new window has been made, the next step is the technical planning. DBS WinDo Planning offers an all-round solution for the digital planning process. With the help of the configurator, window and door elements can be planned digitally. Planners can benefit from automatic calculations and dimensioning. Using various functions and modules, all elements can be planned faster and more reliably. Integration into BIM projects is also possible.

More than just an ordering tool
To order all components quickly and without mistakes, the DBS WinDo Ordering solution is suitable. By ordering digitally via an online shop or via an EDI interface, all orders are processed digitally and all documents are generated automatically.

Master data and consulting at its best
Window production
To ensure that nothing goes wrong in window production and calculation, DBS WinDo Experts is used. With high-quality and always up-to-date master data of all window components as well as the complete and optimized connection of the window construction software, a smooth production and machine control can be ensured.
The window with the digital view
Digital support is also available for the installation of the produced windows at the end customer: DBS WinDo Flow is the solution for paperless installation and management of all installed objects. The core of the solution is the NFC chip installed in the window sash, which can be conveniently read by smartphone or tablet. The associated apps InstallationPro and WindowPass provide all information about the product and offer completely new possibilities for customer communication and sales potential (up-selling).
