Shaping progress together
VEKA welcomes numerous partners to the TEC Conference
With the TEC Conference, our profile brand VEKA created an event many years ago that has long since established itself as an industry gathering for window manufacturers and companies in the window construction industry. The event offers a platform for innovations, technical trends, and personal exchange with the system provider. An offer that was once again very well received this year: around 600 guests accepted the invitation and came to Sendenhorst.
"As a system provider, we are committed to providing our partners with the best possible support to ensure our mutual success," emphasized Josef L. Beckhoff, Executive Director Sales & Marketing, in his welcoming speech. "The TEC Conference offers us exactly the right setting for this: It not only enables us to share the latest practical knowledge, but also provides an excellent opportunity for personal exchange. Through active dialogue with our partners, we gain a better understanding of their challenges and work together to develop new perspectives for a successful future."
Diverse program
In order to enable as many VEKA partners as possible to attend, this year's TEC conference was held over two days with an identical program on both days - a tried-and-tested format that was once again very well received. On May 13 and 14, Josef L. Beckhoff and Alexander Scholle, Head of Domestic Profile Sales, welcomed numerous owners, managing directors and other employees of VEKA partner companies to VEKA's headquarters.
Right at the start, Alexander Scholle emphasized the importance of the renovation market for the future of the industry. Millions of outdated windows in existing buildings offer enormous potential – both economically and ecologically. In this context, he called on participants to actively engage in window recycling and thus contribute to the sustainable development of the industry.
Dr. Daniel Scherz picked up on this idea in his keynote speech, "Sustainability as a touchstone for the building sector." Despite the complexity of the issue, the architect said that manufacturers should not shy away from taking concrete steps - VEKA Umwelttechnik's recycling service is an excellent place to start.
VEKA supports the shift toward greater sustainability in modernization and construction not only with high-performance services, but also with innovative products. This was demonstrated by Christoph Seebröker's presentation of the new VEKA PURE 82 window system, which has been comprehensively designed with sustainability in mind. The VEKA product manager explained that the profile design was developed with a clear focus on resource conservation and climate protection.
The guests also followed the panel discussion on structural accessibility with great interest. Participants included Lutz Engelhard, architect and specialist planner, Manfred Merschmann, managing director of Merschmann Fenster GmbH & Co. KG, Frank Tischner, managing director of the Steinfurt Warendorf district craftsmen's association, and Arne Post, head of product management at VEKA. Moderated by Prof. Christian Niemöller, specialist lawyer for construction and architectural law, the experts discussed current and future requirements as well as practical solutions. A good example is the new VEKA floor threshold concept, which offers an efficiently implementable design for completely level door thresholds.
Focus on sustainable product life cycles
In addition to fixed program items, the TEC conference offered plenty of scope for individual focus areas and, last but not least, for exploring the high-quality exhibition area in detail. VEKA deliberately designed this 700 m² area as the hub of the TEC Conference. The focus was on the future-oriented topic of sustainability: during a tour, guests were able to explore the entire life cycle of plastic windows. A comparison between the successful SOFTLINE 58 system from the 1980s and the VEKA PURE 82 system, which is set to be launched in 2026, made it clear that sustainability today means much more than just good thermal insulation - CO₂ efficiency, durability, and recyclability are just as important.
Guests learned how VEKA is already meeting these requirements today with well thought-out system developments, efficient toolmaking, intelligent planning, and continuous process optimization. The window recycling service offered by VEKA Umwelttechnik was also a central part of the tour.
New products from the VEKA system world provided additional impetus, including the latest color studies for the VEKA Feinstruktur decorative foils, innovative front door solutions with VEKA AluConnect, and, of course, the VEKA Architect Service, which acts as an interface between manufacturers and planners. The smart home solutions from TEXINO also attracted a great deal of interest.
Numerous market partners and guest companies took advantage of the opportunity to exchange ideas with visitors, demonstrating once again how vibrant and collaborative the network surrounding VEKA is.
Great response
"The latest technology, innovations for our mutual success tomorrow, and a strong, vibrant partnership - that's what made this year's TEC Conference so special," says Josef L. Beckhoff. Like many VEKA employees, he also enjoyed the fruitful discussions with the VEKA partners who had traveled to the event. "The extremely positive feedback from our partners and the intensive exchange of ideas encourage us to continue this event format in the future - as a genuine industry event with added value."

The guests took great interest in the opportunity to find out more in the exhibition area and talk to VEKA experts.
