VEKA France celebrates comeback of trade fairs

The 2021 edition of the Equipbaie trade fair, which took place in Paris from September 21 to 24, was a complete success for VEKA S.A.S. More than 400 visitors came to the VEKA booth. Just a few weeks later, from October 13 to 15, VEKA France also exhibited at the Salon ARTIBAT at the Parc des expo in Rennes.

Despite a 39 % drop in visitors, the Equipbaie fair fulfilled all its promises. Our subsidiary VEKA S.A.S from Thonon-les-Bains in France was also present as an exhibitor at the fair in Paris. In mid-October VEKA France also went to the Salon ARTIBAT in Rennes. After the COVID-related break from events, it was now even more gratifying to finally get back into personal conversation with customers and partners and share a moment of conviviality. This year's trade fair participations focused on the latest innovations of the system provider.

Great success for the new sliding system VEKASLIDE Hi-5

The main attraction at the VEKA booth was certainly the new sliding door system called VEKASLIDE Hi-5. As the winner of the Pro Press Prize for technology, the system caught all eyes. Bernard Colin, Technical Director at VEKA S.A.S, presented the strengths of VEKASLIDE Hi-5 to visitors on site at the trade fairs. This new generation of PVC sliding doors has been designed and developed to combine the best features of a sliding system with a striking design. The new sliding door system will be launched at the end of 2022. It will offer very high performance in terms of sound and thermal insulation. It is a sliding construction with a large glass surface and low net weight.

SPECTRAL surfaces now also for by-products

Another innovation is that VEKA France has worked with partners to offer the SPECTRAL surface for by-products in window construction: whether for garage doors, door panels, transoms or roller shutter slats, VEKA SPECTRAL can now be used for a wide range of applications in window construction. To showcase the comprehensive colour palette of VEKA SPECTRAL, the products and systems at the booth also featured VEKA SPECTRAL surfaces. As a creative embodiment of this, the team of the booth had each dressed in a colour matching the window profile: definitely an eye-catcher.

Presentation of the VEKAVARIANT MASTERBOX

The trade fairs were also used as an opportunity to present the future interior roller shutter box, the VEKAVARIANT MASTERBOX. With two access hatches (one straight and one round), the box adapts to all types of interiors. Another strong point is the easy installation, which can be done by simply clipping it in place. In addition, the number of parts is reduced, making the interior roller shutter box an industrial and optimized solution for window manufacturers. Thus, the installation time is reduced to less than 12 minutes. Thanks to a very wide range of colours (including VEKA SPECTRAL) the box can also be adapted to all designs as well as dimensions and materials.

Digital topics were featured as well

In addition to product innovations, the focus was also on the digitalization of the window trade. In this respect, VEKA S.A.S was supported at the Equipbaie by Lukas Bureck, a colleague from DBS (Digital Building Solutions). As the digitalization partner of the VEKA Group, DBS offers innovative digital solutions for window construction. In particular, the chip in the window sash attracted great interest. Trade fair visitors were able to gain exclusive insights into the DBS WinDo Flow solution and the associated applications: The cockpit serves as a central documentation and administration platform for the fabricator. The mobile app InstallationPro facilitates professional installation on site at the end customer. And also the end customer benefits from an own app, the WindowPass. This offers quick support in terms of service and communication. Initial feedback from the visitors was very positive: WinDo Flow is a must for the future!
