VEKA profile systems in Europe’s tallest residential building

TM Tower in Spain relies on VEKA PVC window profiles

Window solutions based on VEKA PVC profile systems are being installed in the TM Tower in Benidorm, north of Alicante, Spain. With a height of 230 meters, the building will become the tallest residential building in Europe upon completion and will define the skyline of Spain’s Mediterranean coast.

An extraordinary construction project

The TM Tower comprises 64 floors and 260 residential units. The project is being developed by TM Grupo Inmobiliario directly on Playa de Poniente. In addition, more than 10,000 square meters of shared amenities and communal areas are being created. This makes the tower one of the largest and most ambitious residential construction projects currently underway in Europe.

Buildings of this scale place exceptional demands on the building envelope. Windows and façade elements must withstand high wind loads, provide long-term reliability, and contribute to occupant comfort.

“The fact that our PVC window systems are being used in what will become Europe’s tallest residential building demonstrates the confidence placed in the quality and performance of our solutions,” says Luis del Fraile, Managing Director at VEKA Ibérica.

Residential comfort at a height of 230 meters

Windows play a central role in a high-rise building such as the TM Tower. They contribute to energy efficiency, improve thermal insulation, and help reduce external noise. As a result, residents can enjoy quiet and comfortable living spaces even at great heights.

The project is being delivered by VEKA Ibérica, the Spanish subsidiary of VEKA, in close cooperation with local project partners. VEKA was involved in the planning process from an early stage.

“A project like the TM Tower requires more than just a high-performance window system,” explains David Baños, Sales Director of VEKA Ibérica. “Together with architects, developers, and window manufacturers, we analyzed the building’s requirements and developed solutions that meet demanding standards for wind loads, thermal and acoustic insulation, airtightness, and security.”

Moisture and salt-laden air also play an important role in coastal environments. PVC window systems offer durable, low-maintenance properties that help preserve the building’s value over the long term.

Successful collaboration in Spain

TM Tower is the latest milestone in a long-standing collaboration between VEKA Ibérica, TM Grupo Inmobiliario, and our customer Cerramientos del Sureste (CESUR). Together, the partners have already delivered several landmark residential developments in Benidorm, including the well-known projects Sunset Waves and Sunset Cliffs. This renewed collaboration highlights the developer’s confidence in the quality and reliability of VEKA solutions.

Flagship project for the international VEKA Group

For the VEKA Group, the TM Tower is another example of how its profile systems prove their worth in demanding construction projects. Participation in one of Europe’s most ambitious residential developments further strengthens the Group’s position in the international commercial construction sector and underscores the successful work of VEKA Ibérica.

With projects such as the TM Tower, VEKA combines modern architecture, energy efficiency, and long-term residential comfort.
