Window drive combines functionality and aesthetics

Winner of the German Design Award 2025

VEKA AG and its smart home brand TEXINO, together with Gröninger Antriebstechnik, have been honored with the prestigious German Design Award 2025. Their joint window drive DK-100 impressed the international jury of experts in the Building & Elements category with its innovative combination of functionality and aesthetics.

The jury particularly praised the DK-100's ability to seamlessly integrate smart functions into existing systems while maintaining architectural freedom. "The combination of increased security and the possibility of invisible installation offers a forward-looking solution for modern living," the jury said in its statement.

The DK-100 is concealed in the window frame, allowing the window to be operated as usual using the handle. The intelligent control system from TEXINO detects when a window is opened manually and can automatically tilt other windows. The reverse applies when closing: if one window is closed manually, the others close too. This creates an intuitive, convenient ventilation solution – without having to set times or tap on your smartphone.

The German Design Award is one of the world's most prestigious design prizes and highlights the innovative strength of VEKA, TEXINO, and Gröninger Antriebstechnik in the field of smart home and building technology.
