New year, new challenge
New management at VEKA SAS & VEKA Ibérica
The past year 2022 was difficult for our subsidiaries VEKA SAS in France and VEKA Ibérica in Spain in two respects: On the one hand, economically, due to the shortage of raw materials and the increased raw material prices and energy costs. On the other hand, it was difficult from an emotional point of view, because the sudden death of the Managing Director Jos Lenferink last August affected all employees deeply.
Emmanuel Demesmay takes over the management of VEKA SAS in France.

After several months of exchange, the VEKA Group's Board of Directors has now taken the decision to entrust Emmanuel Demesmay with the management of VEKA SAS in France. Emmanuel Demesmay joined VEKA in May 2020 as Sales Manager and later as Country Manager and has so far led the Marketing and Sales teams. On January 01, 2023 he has taken over the management of the French subsidiary, which also serves the North African market. "I accept this new challenge with pride and a sense of responsibility and thank the VEKA Group management for their renewed trust", Demesmay comments on his new position.

Luis del Fraile has already been working for VEKA since February 2009, most recently in the position of Finance Director for the SWENA region. He knows the company both at the country and group level, having experienced all the changes of the last few years at first hand.

New Managing Director at VEKA Recycling Ltd.
In UK there is a new company management as well: Stuart Stockley, who has many years of experience in the building and construction industry, is taking over the management of VEKA Recycling Ltd. effective October 17, 2022.
Stuart Stockley has a personal and business commitment to sustainability alongside his experience in manufacturing and distribution, business and brand development. This commitment was one of the main reasons for being interested in the job: "VEKA Recycling Ltd is the leading UK-based specialist PVC-U recycler, and I was particularly attracted to the proposition of the commercial and social potential of collecting and returning this material for re-use over many cycles. We have an impressive facility here in Wellingborough, and I look forward to collaborating with our customers, colleagues and supply partners to help drive the business forward", comments Stockley on his new career challenge.
The recycling plant in the UK was completed at the end of 2020 and can process PVC-U into a high-quality recycled PVC-U granulate, which is fed back into the production of PVC products. In this way, valuable material is preserved, and the proportion of virgin material is reduced. It is the third plant built by the VEKA Group since 1993, along with Germany and France.
